I also ran into a friend from high school. We chatted and ooed and awed over each others books!
There were a couple of fun things we got to do...
* I made cute little photo purse, that I will show as soon as I get it finished.
* My special friend taught us how to create a layout from Rusty Pickle, in which she is now a designing diva for. I will show that soon too!! She taught techniques that I would never take the time to do. I am really trying to broaden my "scrap" abilities, so maybe with some practice and help I can incorporate the techniques I learned into my layouts.
I hope I did not ramble too much, and I hope no one fell asleep while reading this. I have just grown to love scrapbooking so much, and this was one of the funnest days I have had by myself in a long time......and probably because my special friend was there too!!
Here are the layouts I finished Saturday. Oh, I think I forgot to mention that the crop was from 10am until midnight. I was not able to show up until about 1pm and left around 11:30 pm. So, that is 10 1/2 hrs of scraping, creating, eating, talking, and laughing.
These are pictures of Parker's first time exploring the outside world. It was the middle of March, and the temperature got up to 65 degrees. It was cloudy, and a little windy, but we had to go out for a little bit. He had so much fun, pushing his walker up and down the sidewalk, and playing with his toys. He always makes me SMILE!!

I loved this paper when I saw it. I did not want to do too much to this layout because I did not want to cover up too much of the words. We had just gone shopping and bought a big box of diapers. I had put ti by the front door, to take out to the garbage, and the next thing I knew is that Parker had climbed in with some books and started reading. I would never had thought a box could be so useful in the imagination of a baby.
First haircut part 1. I have another layout that is not complete...my special friend is going to help me complete it. These were pictures we took at Cookie Cutters. I am pretty sure I was annoying the stylist with my constant snapping of photos. But this was an important day for us. I am sure she gets it a lot.
This layout is long overdue. I believe it is from Christmas with Ben's family. Ben loves his cousin's so much. They give him so much love, and attention. They love when Parker comes to play, and we always look forward to seeing them.
Parker's First Valentine's Day!!
The layout says it all!
