Something New!!

So, I dislike cooking. If I could eat out every meal, everyday I would.
The thing is that I used to love cooking. Maybe I just got tired of the food that I have been cooking. I got an awesome crock pot recipe from my friend, that the whole family loves. There are only 4 ingredients....

chicken
cream of chicken
dry Italian seasoning dressing
cream cheese
sour cream
rice

Ok, so that is 6. It is a favorite around here....thanks Kim!!

The other day I was watching the Rachel Ray show. Usually I am in between either taking a nap, or helping Parker make the crucial decision of which movie to watch...Little People or Bolt. So, it is a rarity that I get to watch my own tv show during the day.

On this particular day Parker was asleep and I was folding laundry and flipped through the channels and RR was on. She is cute!! And talks a lot.

I love the food she makes. It looks so good, but I usually talk myself out of making it either because I think that I will be in the kitchen way too long or I would have to cut half the ingredients before Ben would even consider trying it, and by then you put in all of this effort to make a good meal and it is flavorless. So, we stick to chicken helper and hot dogs.

After the show I had some time to kill and I went on her website and found some yummy recipes. I thought if I could make 2 different ones a week I am in good shape. I tried finding ones that Ben would like, too. See I am thoughtful!!!

Two days ago I make "BBQ chicken, bacon and ranch pizza" The first thing I thought of when I read the title was...
BBQ sauce...good
Chicken...good
bacon...good
ranch...good
pizza...good

It was, in true RR fashion YUM-O!!!

Here is what you need:
2 tubes if refrigerated crescent rolls
BBQ sauce
Chicken
bacon
cheese
ranch dressing

Using the PC bar pan or a large cookie sheet with edges, unroll rolls to fill the pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

While rolls are cooking I cooked 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts on the stove and 1 package of bacon. Real bacon!!

After 20 minutes or until golden brown, take out crust and spread on BBQ sauce. Cut chicken into chunks and sprinkle on top of sauce. Do the same with the bacon and sprinkle with cheese. Stick back into the oven and bake just until the cheese is melted. It smells and looks and tastes delicious. Drizzle with ranch.

It is so easy!!

Try it this week and let me know what you think!!!!

I will add a recipe once a week......
