It's all about him! (Things I had to write down. I don't want to forget these moments.)

TODAY.....

We loved having nice weather. We were outside all the time when it was nice...for 2 days. We have a park down the street from us. It is about a 20 minute walk to and fro. But when you have a toddler that wants to walk, instead of ride in his stroller it takes a little longer. He loved being outside...I think we all did after this winter. It is hard for him to understand that on days like these...14 degrees:) that we can not go out and play.
For Christmas he got soooo many toys. Most of them he was too little to play with. It is amazing what 3 months can do.
He got a garage/car ramp and some cars and when I showed him how to do it, he just looked at me like, "huh." So, we put that toy and a few others up in his room, so the downstairs was not drowning in toys.

This morning I was cleaning up the house and I hear Parker say, "Help, mom...pease." I went upstairs and he was trying to drag his ramp down the stairs. He played with that toy for a long time. He did it all by himself. When I tried to help, he pushed my hand away and said, "I do it." Mr. Independent.

We got our new furniture and Parker loves to jump off of it, into his ball pit. I am pretty sure the frogs head and one of his feet has a hole in it because every time I blow them up, they are flat by the end of the day. He has fun, though! He is funny!

PS...No bones were broken in this daring attempt to please the viewers!

My mom got Parker a mailbox for Christmas and ever since Valentine's Day, on occasion she will stop by on her way home from work and put a treat in it. Well, now every time she stops by he expects a treat. Today, he came up to me and said, "Mom. Teat. Mailbox...Pease?" I couldn't resist. I put a few M&M's in a bowl and put them in his mailbox. He was so happy. "Gank You, Mom."

**********************************************************
I bought a "shapes" chart for him too. I feel guilty being home all day with only 1 child and not really doing anything with him. He has had circle, down for a while and we have been doing CIRCLE worksheets that I copied from the Internet. He is learning square and triangle and is doing really good.
He also loves to "help" me do the dishes. So, as I was letting the dishes "air dry." I put some water in the sink and let him play. He had lots of fun...until I heard splash, splash all over the floor. Then the fun was over.

*******************************************
One last thing. Parker has been expressing some interest in potty training, so Ben and I are going to go and get him a potty chair. I am not sure if he will even sit on it, but I thought it would be worth a shot...right?

I will let you know how it goes.
This has been our day, thus far. I love being a stay at home mom! He makes me so happy!

That is awesome!! Staying at home with your kids definitely has its benefits.
You are a much nicer mommy than I am, I don't let the kids jump off the couch, but it may also have something to do with the fact that they all do it at the same time and don't wait to take turns so they end up jumping on top of each other.
Either way, that is super cute!
