We arrived home from our trip the first week of February. A few days later my parents arrived home and brought this guy with them. My nephew is staying with his sister for a few months....yay!!!! We've been looking forward to his arrival for weeks.
After vacation we got right back into the groove of things. Parker had a project to finish up for school. His class chose a president to research and present at the academic fair. They also had to create their president out of a 2L pop bottle. We worked hard and in the end....it turned out great. Parker worked really hard on his report of William Henry Harrison and the layout of his board.
After all the hard work it was time to have some fun. The next day was Ski-bowl day (his class went bowling) at school, and we celebrated Valentines Day. We played 3 Minute to Win it, games. One of them was to stack conversation hearts as high as they could in a minute. The second one was a race to see how many hearts they could get in their cups, with a spoon. And the last one was a marshmallow toss. So grateful for the other room moms for all their help. After the games we had some treats and the kids passed out their Valneines to friends.
Saturday was officially Valentines Day. Christian joined us for breakfast of reeses peanut butter pancakes, with peanut butter whip cream and chocolate syrup. It was a little rich to say the lease.....but very good. can you tell we are peanut butter fans!!!
After breakfast we gave the kids their Valentines. Lexie got a Minnie Mouse animal, go-go squeeze, goldfish, m&ms and a Minnie bracelet.
Parker got Reeses PB cups, and some books. I gave Ben some skittles and gift cards to his favorite lunch spots and I got beautiful flowers.
That afternoon, Ben and I enjoyed lunch ALONE at Granite City. It was so fun getting away with this man. It seems like forever since it was just the two of us hanging out. It was nice to be able to talk with out the distraction and chaos that sometimes comes with kids:) I am so grateful for this man!!!
These two are going to be trouble in a couple of months when L starts to walk.....so much mischief right around the corner......Love them both so much...they are BFF's already!!!!
And my beautiful "person"!!!! So loving and caring.....her family means the world to her....and she put on a pretty awesome party for her little boy!!!
