So...the above picture is not technically from Valentines Day, but from Lexie's first day of church. I have to admit...it was fun dressing her up:)
My two precious Valentines!!! before Parker headed off to school, I snapped a few pictures of him and his little sister. The are adorable!!! I love them both so much. I couldn't have asked for a better a better gift than these two!!!
After I sent Parker off to school with his class Valentines and a Valentine for his teacher, Lexie and I got ready to go to Grandma's for a Valentines brunch with some friends. We had a delicious breakfast complete with egg casserole, french toast and fresh fruit....and of course chatting with friends.
Afterwards, we made cupcakes for Parker's class. Grandma watched Lexie while I headed off to meet Parker at school. We ate cupcakes and had a special punch. The kids were excited to hand out their Valentines and were even more excited to receive them.
When Parker arrived home I had a special surprise for him and Dad....A valentines candy basket with special notes on each candy bar. Ben brought me home a beautiful bouquet of assorted flowers....my favorite.
The evening was a little chaotic....Parker was home sick for two days earlier in the week...and not feeling 100%, and with a new baby and long waits at the restaurants...we decided just to order in. Ben picked up Red Robin and Wendy's for dinner. I made brownie sundaes for dessert and Parker's favorite...Sparkling Cider to celebrate Valentines Day. After we put the kids to bed and enjoyed an all new episode of Grey's Anatomy....then I fell asleep...That was just about all I wanted to do:) Ben popped in an action flick and I am sure...enjoyed the peace and quiet.
I love my kids and my husband....and feel so blessed to have them in my life....I love them so much!!
