4 years ago, today 5/18 at 8:18am, our baby boy was born. After years of trying our family was finally blessed with a baby! I never thought I could love something so much until I had Parker. He is the absolute joy in my life. I have loved the journey thus far with him, each one is a trial of its own. He is so smart, and very fizzy...he gets that from me:) He is thoughtful, and loves his friends and family so much....maybe a little too much at times. He is a hard worker like his dad, and is always looking for "men" jobs. He enjoys helping his dad around the house and outside, mowing the grass and washing the car.
I love being able to stay at home with him! There have been times when I thought, it would be nice to get out and make a little extra money, so we can have the "extra" things, but then I think of all of the happy moments that bring tears to my eyes, and the conversations we have. And know this is where I want to be!
Today in the car we were listening to the radio and there was a commercial on, or the DJ's were talking. Anyway, I changed the station and Parker asked me to change it back. He said, "Grandpa, only listens to people talk in his truck, not music. Men's listen to other men's talk." Thank you Grandpa, for exposing your Grandchild to Rush!!! This made me laugh because there was a seriousness about his statement....like this is what men do!!!! So, we continued to listen to Red Hot Brian Scott on 99.7:)
This morning Parker wanted to go out for pancakes, so we went to the best pancake house in town, IHOP!!! it was delicious!! In the car he asked, if it was his birthday yet....it was 8:16am. I told him in 2 minutes....He asked me to take a picture of him when it was "18?" so, I did!!! I hope his need of wanting his picture taken continues through his teen years. So, here is a picture of him at exactly 8:18am this morning, on our way to IHOP!!!
After breakfast, Parker had school at his friends house. I secretly made arrangements with his BF's mom to have his BF, Danyo come to the museum with us after school. When I arrived and told him he said, "YEA!!! Danyo, is coming to the museum with me....can Emma come too?" Why not? On the way they changed their minds and decided the park was the way to go....so we were off to Rocketship Park. The three of them were so cute together....hardly left each other's side!!!
He is at Grandpa's house right now making "man" cookies....I think there may be a pattern:)
Tonight we are taking him out for dinner....we let him pick the place...Olive Garden!! That's my boy:) he loves the Alfredo....who could blame him!!! Happy Birthday, Turkey!!!
