It seems like since I took away Parker's binky he has been difficult when it comes to taking naps. In other words...he won't. Maybe. Maybe 2 or 3 times a week. The downside is I don't get a little break. The upside is he is that he is not cranky or crabby.
Yesterday, I laid him down for a nap and gave him Rex (his dinosaur that I replaced the binky with) and 10 minutes later he was downstairs. He learned how to climb out of his crib. I took him back up and stood close by to see how he managed to fling himself put of his bed. It was pretty funny..I hope he does not break him arm doing it. So, no nap!
Today, I woke up to a little voice saying, 'Mommy! cereal.' He did it again. Stinker!! He is quite the climber, though. On top of everything.
He has been very clingy and I am afraid he is entering his TERRIBLE TWO'S a little early. Or it could also be me.
He is whiny and stubborn and very sassy!
If you tell him not to do something he will say, 'Heeyy! Don't Mom!' OR when Ben tells him not to do something he will say, 'Nooo! Ben' Kind of cute...but kind of not. We hide our smiles. And now he gets a time-out!
Crap...he just found his binky!
Oh, and he constantly is in my kool-aid. It is like he is stuck to me..and the tantrums and fits...it is ridiculous. Is this a phase or is it just me? Do I give him TOO much attention or let him get away with TOO much? Do tell! I won't be offended!!
TODAY!!!! my sister,Vicki is coming home for 2 weeks and we are very excited! Parker has not seen her since we was 6 months old. They will have a lot of fun together!!
That is it!! Not too exciting!! But we are excited for Easter! I loved the ideas that ya'll gave me. I talked to Ben and we are going to do the egg hunt and Easter basket on Saturday, like most of you mentioned. Then, on Sunday Parker will receive a small picture of Jesus and we will do a little activity/lesson about Easter and Jesus. I also loved the idea of the lamb cake and am still looking for one. If all else fails we will just make a cake and decorate it!
I really liked the hunt while camping, but unfortunately it is too cold!! I will keep that in mind when we move to warmer climates..someday!
This post was a little of everything..sorry if I was all over the place!!

Good luck with Parker! Just wait till he gets moved to a toddler bed. My only experience is through my sister - it was nap/quiet time at the house, and so she wouldn't stay in her toddler bed, so my sis had to be a gate, put it in the door, and virtually lock her in her room that way. It took about a week - and it was heartbreaking - b/c my niece would stand in the doorway and scream, but it did the trick of teaching her to stay in her room.
