Trick-or-Treating, take 1!

Being a newcomer to this whole trick-or-treating thing, when we received candy from one store we would move on and Parker kept going back to the same store for more candy. He did not realize that he had to keep going. He finally got a hang of it though.

SUPERMAN!

Tonight, we took Parker to the mall to go trick-or-treating. I was disappointed. Last year I was disappointed. Parker and I worked all day. He only had an hour nap, would not eat dinner and by 5 pm was ready to go home and relax. So, I was smart and decided that we needed to take him mall-or-treating. He had a meltdown as soon as he walked in the door. Wanted to eat every piece of candy as soon as he got it. That is another thing...what happened to all of the good candy. What is up with all of the tootsie rolls, dum-dums and stickers. I mean really, stickers. Every time he got a sticker, he took it out of his pumpkin and tried to give it back.

So, what has this world come to when we as parents are complaining about what candy their kids bring home for them to eat.

Anyway, we made it half way around the mall and decided to call it quits. Stopped at McDonald's, and went home. As soon as we got in the door he was all smiles and giggles. Seriously. Maybe he just missed his home and toys. Whatever!

We had fun and saw some friends there too!
