We also celebrated Mom's birthday with lunch at Red Robin and came back for cake and ice cream. I love this woman so much. She is an inspiration to me...I just hope one day I can be as great as her. My children adore her and want to spend as much time with her as possible.
We had our annual Saturday Easter egg hunt in our yard...I thought Parker would be totally over this by now...but he looked forward to it all week....I guess it is always fun to find hidden eggs with money and candy in them:) Lexie was sick again....so we did it while she was napping. It was a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine.
Easter morning the kids woke up to find their Easter baskets full!!! Parker got books and quiet activities for church, as well as gum and candy and games. Lexie got a book, bubbles, snacks and necklaces.
We try to shy away from the "easter bunny"...in fact we have always told Parker his baskets are from us. Last year was the first year Parker mentioned the bunny, "You mean my house is the only house he didn't come to?" "I thought the easter bunny loved everyone?" I panicked and said, "Oh, yes...this is from him." This year he didn't even mention him...just thanked us for the basket.
After church we went to mom and dad's. We took tons of pictures of the kids and family. My niece and her family....Lucas's firs Easter!!!
After dinner the kids each got a basket from Grandma and Grandpa....they loved it!!!
The weather has been so nice here....finally...spring has arrived. We have been trying to get out and exercise more, so we decided to head to the park and walk...then let the kids run and play on the playground. We also took some pictures along the way. Lexie loves her "pretties" she got from easter...she wears them all the time. I love how the pictures turned out. Lexie loves to get her picture taken....and Parker tolerates it, for me.
