A few days ago my amazing mom and best friends threw me a baby shower!!! And it was PERFECT!!!! The theme was desserts.....with a few healthy choices:) Everything pink!!! Everything was so good...I wish I could have ate all night!!
My friend who hosted the party made Lexie's name out of blocks to hang in her room. The colors were perfect...brown and pink and it was a wonderful surprise!!!
She also made the Lexie banner and the pink pom-poms...which I need to learn how to do.
The thing about parties that I dread is that I am always worried that no one will show up....or not as many as I had hoped. But I did not have to worry about that tonight. I was surrounded by close friends, and family and friends who seem like family. My Aunt and her daughter even drove down from Clinton and my cousin drove down from Cedar Rapids for the night....to celebrate this wonderful occasion!!! I was so happy to see them...they made my night even better!!
I received so many wonderful gifts. Lots of clothes for Lexie:) beautiful dresses, handmade gifts and this diaper cake from my best friends. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.
Speaking of wonderful people....These ladies are the best!!! I have known some longer than others and have enjoyed the new friendships and bonds I have made with them. They are all 'super-mom's! and I have learned so much from each of them. They came together amongst there own busy schedules to throw this party for me....I felt so special the whole night. Everything was perfect!!
