Last night we took our pumpkins to Grandma and Grandpa's to carve. It took Parker a few minutes to get into the whole thing and that only lasted a few more minutes. He thought it was kind of gross sticking his hand into the pumpkin...he takes after his dad. I cleaned out all three pumpkins. But as a kid that was my favorite part, and it still is so I didn't mind.
This is the pumpkin he picked out at the pumpkin patch.
Last year we went our friends house to carve pumpkins and the kids printed out faces to carve into the pumpkins. So, we decided to try it. Ben did one and I did one and I did Parker's, too.
It was a lot of fun and the results were a lot better than what we used to do.
Scary, Scary! Ben carved the middle pumpkin and Parker wanted me to do a scary face...I did the last one and the one Ben is holding is what our pumpkins used to look like.....not pretty!!

I LOVE carving pumpkins!
The problem is, my girls hate the slimy feeling, too!
We spend so much time keeping their hands clean and having them clean up and then we tell them "Reach into this big orange pumpkin and pull out all the stringy, slimy stuff". So funny!
