Birthday PartieS!

My baby has turned TWO!! I cannot believe it. Where does the time go? seriously? I remember being pregnant....I swear it seemed like more than 9 months. He made me so sick, especially the last few months.

Then I remember going into labor and felt like I was going to die....I was going to try and be strong and not do an epidural. We arrived at the hospital at about 1 am and after about 45 minutes and dilated to an 8 I caved. It is the best feeling.EVER!! I was in heaven. The nurse came in and said I would be ready to "push" in about an hour. We tried calling my parents, but there was no answer. Finally, they called us. It turns out whoever used the phone last forgot to hang it up. We called before we left for the hospital and told then what was going on. I told my mom that we would call when things progressed:) They arrived about 30 minutes before I started to push. And an hour later we had our BOY!! Beautiful 8lbs. 13 oz.

We had tried for a few years to get pregnant, so seeing him and holding him was bittersweet....our miracle.

The past two years have been complete joy! We love him so much and he adds a sweet spirit into the family. We have taught him and have watched him grow into this energetic, curious, loving, happy boy, who just makes us laugh and smile at the drop of the hat.

Last night we were saying our prayers and thanking Heavenly Father for our friends and family and the wonderful blessings they bring into our lives and Parker, in the middle of the prayer says, "Yes, did. Yoink." From the movie Bolt. We could not stop laughing. He has a wonderful personality and is a charmer and a flirt!!

Here are some pictures of his birthday parties. The first one was a couple of weeks ago. We drove up to see G-ma and G-pa P. and all of Parker's aunts, uncles and cousins. We celebrated his cousin Ella's birthday, too. He received so many cool things. He loves the swing set that G-ma and G-pa and Aunt Jill bought him. He also loves the spider-man backpack and sleeps with his ball blanket every night. And loves to read the books Uncle Bill got him. We had a yummy dinner and ice cream cake and a spider-man cake. We love spending time with our families. And Parker cannot get enough of his cousins.

Yesterday, was his official birthday and we had his BEST FRIENDS over. It was simple and fun. We went with the Spider-Man theme! We had pizza, pop and cake. It was nice to enjoy the day and not stress out about getting things done and having things perfect...but that is not me. Never.

The kids had a lot of fun playing in the backyard......Parker and his BF, Danyo.
Parker and his friends Bo and "ristian."
We love presents!!! He loved EVERYTHING he got!!

Especially the lawn mower we got him. He pushed that thing around all night!

And the cake. I made this cake twice. The fist time was not a pretty sight. I learned of few things and think it turned out much better...with the exception of one huge eye. Um, just in case you don't know...it's Spider-man.

Happy Birthday to YOU!!

And the long awaited taste of his cake!! YUM!!
Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Love the pictures. I seriously just popped a lung when I saw that cake. I missed it! Which is a shame because you would have gotten to see the drunk lady wheezy laugh. It's a googly-eyed Spidoman. I'm sorry, it wasn't supposed to funny? I can laugh though because it's way better than I could do. It's a jealous laugh.
