Septmeber and October in a nutshell

I love to take pictures to capture all of the wonderful moments in my life, and blog so I do not forget all of the blessings in the world around me.  I, however, have been slacking off.  Here is a recap of a fraction of what we have been up to.....
Soccer is something the whole family gets excited for!!! Parker loves playing and improves so much each season.  He has been with this team for a whole year now and has gotten to know the kids, coach and routine.  We have been really impressed with his coach and the time he takes to teach the kids about the game and how to love it.
Parker has a whole strategy worked out in his mind before the game even starts.....he has really grown to love the game.
Although, he did not score any goals, Parker assisted his teammates in scoring several throughout the season.  He is a great asset to the team and they love having him on board.  He looks forward to each practice and game!!!
He tries so hard to keep up with the other players and tries to remember every thing he coach tries to teach him.  He takes criticism well and uses it as a learning tool....to do better next time.  And he tolerates the "advice"  his mother....screaming on the sidelines:)  We can't wait for spring soccer to begin!!!

October started out fun with a class field trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  Here are a few pics from the day.  These are two of Parker's favorite friends from school!!!!!

After we visited the patch the kids were able to feed the animals at the petting zoo
Then we headed over to the corn maze.............

These were the boys in my group...they are all so fun and energetic.  It was fun to see Parker venture out on his own...becoming a little more independent....I will be sad to see the day when being with mom is not "cool".  Hopefully, that day is a little further down the road.
He did agree to ONE picture:)
 Family Pumpkin Patch
It was chilly....and drizzly...but we were running out of time!!! This was Lexie's first Fall/Halloween and we couldn't miss the Patch.

it started to rain as we were boarding the tractor to go out and pick our pumpkin.....so we just let Parker pick out one by the exit.....it was perfect.

 And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
Lexie had been fighting a cold, so our little Halloween fairy stayed in with Brooke and Grandma, while the rest of us headed out with 'Batman!!'
I am not sure why he picks these costumes? he has never seen any of the movies or cartoons....maybe they just look really cool...and Batman does save the world.
The next day Parker had a Halloween party at school, then we went to Brooke and Shaun's for more trick or treating.  It was cold and rainy both days....thank goodness for Grandma's who are willing to stay in with sick babies....So, that was our month's festivities in a nutshell....there was also pumpkin carving, pumpkin pizza, mummy dogs and Halloween cookies.....and much more!!!
